This was a great find. My wife and I had a late lunch and found ourselves in Hillcrest and found Bo's in the Trader Joe's/Ralph's shopping center on University. Bo’s serves fresh locally caught seafood cooked to order (dine-in/take-out) or sold by the pound to cook at home The clam chowder is the best I’ve had on the west coast. I love the fish sandwich with char-grilled Ono. I also enjoyed their fried calamari tacos served with rice and beans. Bo offers a thoughtfully selected wine list to pair with his seafood. Try the bone-dry and aromatic Brander Sauvignon Blanc to complement fresh grilled halibut, cod or sautéed sole. Bo’s has micro-brews too. Not sure about dessert. The service is great and both Tommy (server) and Bo (owner) will greet you by your first name after your first visit. There is plenty of free parking under and adjacent the Ralph’s.
